Second day in Slovakia

I`ve been firstly attracted to Juraj`s proposal. But his home is 45min far by walking and it didn`t seem very attractive as well as the price he offered: 275, actually 550, because he requires deposit. Other than his proposal, there is a broker`s offer, his name is Peter and he asked me to call him. It seems a bit messy his way of contacting me, which doesn`t attracted me somehow. Recently I got Milos proposal, 175 to live in a studio in Karlova Ves, seems interesting. Guess I`ll have a look on it tomorrow. I`m already looking for new ones, but surely to live in a studio sounds pretty good.

Today I woke up at 11h hurrying up to buy shampoo, soap, intimus soap, facial wash soap, conditinator and on. I was feeling dirty. I have driken the hot water I had filled yesterday a fanta bottle from my last dinner (mushrooms pizza with fanta) and I have put it outside the room to make it cold. I need water and it costs. I`ve been boiling water in the cattle and the idea is to drink it. In the middle of my shopping inside Lidl, which have scared me with such high prices, I realized I should move to the health exam I had appointed. After many trials to find out a good path way to the address, I finally found it amidst the old and strong trees of Bratislava. In there the attendant asked me to come on Thursday as the doctor had a urgent problem to solve and went out some minutes ago.

I came back and took my glorious shower. Before I realized I didn`t buy the conditionator, Damn it. Also a brush, I forgot at the hostel. Back from shower I`ve eaten strawberries with yogurt and musli cereal. Started writting Veronika letting her know I finally am here and we can start the procedures to hire me. She mentioned about my diploma and criminal register should be translated to Slovakian. We will meet tomorrow.

After the shower and this email I felt really sleepy and have slept until 7pm. I woke up and talked to Marius. We decided go to skype. He seemed anguished about what we can do to be together as to him is not a fair trade leave his job there and come here to another low paid, like the third part of his wage now. Slovakia`s minimum wage is 350 euros. Thus, we started thinking about it. I suggested that he must save his money and pay for a Scenic course as this would develop his good drama skills as well as improve his English. I suggested he should come here every Sunday and Monday, he agreed. But not in the next as he must send his mom some money and won`t be able to pay expenses here. Then he would invest in skills I believe he has and improving his English would raise the probabilities to find a better job.

At half past midnight I said good bye as I have to wake up early tomorrow.

I`m amazed about what is happening in Iraq, the ISIS is provoking many countries to think about a strategy to end this shit up.
The iphone 6 is in the market. A watch comes along with it. Interesting.

First day in Slovakia

First day in Slovakia.
I got enchanted with how easy life could be and how amazing is a simple life. I just had no problem, no stress since my flight landed. The information desk is just a real information desk. I had the proper and efficient information I needed: which bus to take and where. I received a little paper informing all the bus stop and the ones I should drop. Also how much was the fare and where to buy the ticket (in every bus stop). The ticket is paid per journey duration. Fortunately there was a woman going to the same place as me, she helped me on using the fare's machine. The double journey costed me 0,90 euro, 30min. In exactly 30min I was in the Košická  street. In 5 min more walking and I was in front of my hotel. Nice. No stress. 
At the hostel I discovered the plug is not UK style, its EU. There I was on the streets looking after an adaptor to my plugs. Without energy I cannot use my laptop as well as my cellphone. It meas a mess. Scaringly I couldnt find not even one store where I could buy such thing. On the way I found AT&T. Also the park aside it. An amazing cemitery-park, quietly clean. I found so many second hand stores also. People seem not to speak English as a second language. The second one seems to be more closely German.

Lilian is travelling Friday, May 23th

And so there she goes... At 4am our sister Lilian packed some suitcases and took her way abroad. She is gonna visit some countries of Europe for about ten days. She is gonna be back at 1st May and go straight back to Brazil on 2sd May. I will miss her but don`t know how much. Today I started to move my bed sheet and all my stuff to the bed above me in the bunk. We have 4 bunks in this bedroom, it means that I sleep with 8 girls, mostly 6 because Federica and Noemi are usually out. Federica sleeps with her boyfriend Napo and Noemi is mostly in Austria studying. They both work in the reception. 

Today I woke up at 6h45, deciding if I would go or if I wouldn`t go to work. Ger had told me "it`s optional, Virginia", but I should go. For the days I was absent, for the much time I spent in Netherlands. I should go to redeem my sin of leaving this hostel without a proper information in advance. I was naughty. And also had lots of troubles with flights. Waste of money. And so I got up and got ready to the new day.

At work Eva was feeling bad about her throat. Tonsillitis. I told her to go back to her bed but she insisted that she was fine. Yesterday she had left work because she was really feeling bad. Well, she seemed fine and furthermore asked me to go, when she discovered that that day was optional to me. But for Ger`s trust vote I kept my word of staying at work from Monday to the next Monday. And there I was with her, Sussana and Emerson. It was, by the way, his birthday, 23th May. We dealt well with each other. 

Job done, at 12h I was back to my bedroom. I slept from 12 to 14pm. I woke up with Andrea`s plastic bags` noises. How lovely. And I checked my whatsapp and there was a message from Douglas asking if I was at the hostel. He wanted to give me an icecream. Coincidently the same that me and Camila took at Tesco yesterday. He is so cute. As cute as gay. :)

After waking up I started to set up my new bed and after this I started cleaning the room. And after, organizing my clothes. I took more, dirty ones to the landry and was there with a book on my hands, reading.
